My name is Joey, I am currently tutoring Cantonese and Mandarin. I was a Mandarin after school teacher in Scots College and Mosman Church of England Preparatory School. Before coming to Australia, I taught Chinese Language and Physical Education in a secondary school (Hong Kong) for 7 years. I love teaching and my students. The curriculum of Chinese Language is divided into 4 categories: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking which includes Chinese Grammar, Chinese Culture, Festivals and Calligraphy, Classical and Modern Prose and Poetry etc. As a teacher, I strongly believe every student has their own potential. Teachers always talk about the term "Learning and Teaching". In my interpretation, "learning" takes priority of "teaching", it means teachers should consider our students first, so I will try different teaching methods and use different materials and resources to fit my students' learning styles. Whether you are an adult, secondary or primary school student, I will do my best to project a curriculum to fit your needs.
